The District's solid waste collection provider, GFL Environmental (previously known as WCA), will pick up tree and yard waste every other Saturday. Tree and yard waste must be located at the curb area of each residence and be contained in bags or containers not exceeding forty (40) gallons or forty (40) pounds. Trees, shrubs, brush trimmings and fencing must be stacked in neat stacks and in lengths no greater than four (4) feet with no branch diameter exceeding three (3) inches. These size limitations are required to avoid damaging the equipment in the crushing process.
GFL Environmental will not collect debris that does not meet the above specifications. However, Harris County Precinct One will collect the hurricane debris that is not collected by GFL Environmental. Residents may either (1) drop-off their debris at the locations listed below, or (2) place the debris on the curbside and wait for Harris County to collect the debris.
